Your Everyday Dozen

Your Everyday Dozen

  • Accessibility - What martial arts class is more accessible than You Tube and our self-defense videos? Make use of it seven days a week.
  • Collaboration - Set goals with girl friends for 12 months. In your M.A. journal, write about what you are “like” today, sign it, date it, and put the time of day on that document. It will be golden 5 years from now.
  • Consistency - Be consistent about your time and write in your journal. Consistency will win every time all the time. Make a list of ten things you are consistent with and put it in your M.A. journal?
  • Conversation - Keep the creative flame bright. Talk to each other like your life depends on it. Remember to discuss the little things.
  • Courage - Have it, stand up with it, use it, walk with it, run with it, back others with it, write with it, sing with it, rescue a loved one with it, talk with it, defend with it, be happy with it, be proud with it, train a scared woman or girl in a self-defense class that you started, with it, and finally be the best human being you can be with it. The world needs you, your courage, with it!
  • Discoverability - Dig into your training, watch those videos with your girl friends, discover what you missed last week. Remember: it is not just what you learn from me or other people that matters, but what you learn from yourself. You are the best teacher of you, that you will ever meet, so don’t forget that.
  • Inspiration - Inspire women to come home to martial arts. You will meet plenty of women/girls doing the same thing for the same reasons you are. Once they greet you, return their love and greet them coming into our big circle, which will eventually cover the globe. The days and nights of you being vulnerable to attacks are over.
  • Interactivity - Two of you can practice on your day off from the video training. Remember you and your friends can make this a game and have fun with it. The more you interact with the other women and girls, the more fun it will be. Get one of the women or girls to pretend they are me giving the class and then see which of you can do it better!
  • Secret - Maybe hard for you to accept, but men who are close to you will live a full life without ever knowing what you are learning so, don’t give your power away to anyone, for any reason. I have created all this for you, so keep all this fighting strategy and planning to just the women and girls in your circle. I recommend that you have a “sit-down circle” after your class with me or anytime you meet with female martial artist on your journey.
  • Share ability - It’s best to share this information with every woman you know. Keep your girl and women friends excited about what you are learning, because what is more important than you being safe at all times?
  • Sustainability - Be solid with your training schedule and don’t let it waiver. Keep it pulsating! Every day you train is another day you make your life safer. When you can link 365 days together, you have created a safe year for yourself, so make that happen.
  • Targeting - Focus guides your weapon to the proper target, which is the one area he is not protecting. With accurate targeting, what happens to your attacker? When you strike his body unexpectedly where you can really hurt him, you make hitting him again that much safer and that much more fun for you. And what is wrong with that?
